Express Chili sin carne
1Pulses are a proper alternative to animal meat as source of iron and protein. They are varied and allow diversity in flavours.
2Let me introduce you to a dish I have always enjoyed, and have now adapted to my liftestyle, I give you: the chili sin carne !
1Mix your mince soy in a bowl with 5 tablespoons of olive oil and 5 tablespoons of soy sauce. Leave to marinate for 30 minutes.
2Meanwhile, slice your onion finely and chop your garlic. Fry them in your wok together with a small amount of oil. Add a little bit of water when the onions start to brown, so as to caramelise them slightly.
3Once your marinated soy mince is ready to use, add them in the wok together with the chili and tomato puree. Mix it all well together and add the kidney beans and sweetcorn if you have chosen to use any.
4Leave to simmer for a further 15 minutes, stirring regularly.
